HBM has launched a platform load
cell – the PW27 – which meets the
EHEDG (European Hygienic
Engineering & Design Group)
guidelines for applications in the
food sector.

The PW27 platform load cell
features a cylindrical design and is
manufactured in stainless steel
without any corners or edges. The
measuring element and strain gages
are hermetically sealed in the
housing to give a robust component
that resists attacks from all cleaning
and disinfection agents currently
used in the food industry.

The PW27 platform load cell also
meets the standards for both IP68
and IP69K degrees of protection.
