London City YMCA is supporting
frontline staff with the award
winning Identicom lone worker
device as part of a lone worker
solution from Connexion2.

The communications device is
styled as an identity card holder to
facilitate easy wear and use in the
face of aggression. Personnel wear it
while on duty and, if there has been
an incident during their shift, they
wear the badge until they are home.

Should there be a problem, they can
press the red alert and get immediate
support through the 24/7 link to an
Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).

A status check allows a user to get
feedback on battery life and GSM
network signal strength.When an
employee feels there may be a risk,
they press the Amber Alert button
that provides location information to
SoloProtect’s ARC through a 15sec
voice message. If the Red Alert is
used support staff can assess what is
happening and boost the level of
support required. Red Alerts record
the conversation for future action.
