The Fork Lift Truck Association is
urging those who use and maintain
fork lift trucks to take appropriate
action following the World Health
Organisation’s classification of diesel
exhaust fumes as carcinogenic.

David Ellison, FLTA CE, said:
“Fumes are associated with a number
of fuel types, which is why we have
created a free fact sheet on this
subject. Those who use and maintain
fork lift trucks will need a sound risk
assessment and practical solutions to
deal with any fumes which may
contaminate their workplace.”
