range of welding gloves, with
all types fulfilling the
requirements of applicable European
standards and being CE marked in
accordance with the PPE Directive
89/686/EEC. These high-quality yet
cost-effective gloves ensure the safety
and comfort of users when worn for
extended periods.

A key factor in the quality of
welding gloves is the leather. ESAB
has many years’ experience in
tanning and finishing leather, so is
able to ensure its gloves provide the
right qualities in terms of strength,
softness and flexibility. Gloves in the
ESAB range are made using ox
leather, pig leather or goat leather,
each of which has properties that suit
different applications.

ESAB manufactures gloves for
four main classes of application:
MIG/MAG/MMA welding, TIG
welding, high-temperature welding,
and general handling. All are CE
marked to the PPE Directive, and the
heavy-duty welding gauntlets and
riggers are tested and certified by a
Notified Body as meeting the
requirements for Category 2
(Intermediate Design) PPE products.
