Engineers, the SG range of Viking
positive displacement pumps
includes models rated for maximum
continuous pressures to 34 bar and
maximum intermittent pressures to
172 bar. Reliability and minimal
maintenance are said to be key
benefits of the SG Series due to their
special design. This is said to ensure
extended seal and bearing life,
reducing downtime.

For example, shaft movement is
minimised which lengthens seal life,
radial (side-to-side) movement, or
misalignment, is prevented by closecoupled
motor mounts, or outboard
bearings for foot-mounted pumps.

Axial (back-and-forth) movement is
minimised by spur-type gears. Also,
the pumps incorporate as standard,
anti-friction needle bearings which
eliminate bearing wear at start-up
and shutdown.
