For over 30 years Solving has been
providing material handling solutions
for the production of railway
locomotives, transformers and
nuclear flasks, weighing anything
from hundreds of tonnes down to
palletised loads weighing a few
thousand kilograms.
Many of these solutions have been
based on ‘air bearing’ technology,
which enables established flow-line
production principles to be applied
to heavy industry. Automated
Guided Vehicles (AGVs) have
however become a key feature of
Solving’s recent expansion.

Using laser, wire or optical
technology, specially-designed AGVs
have been developed to satisfy a wide
range of customer requirements. Any
number of AGVs can be used on a
single system, and future expansion
can be accommodated by adding
