Hermetically sealed
Micro-Hybrid Electronic will be presenting a technology for producing hermetically sealed components for infrared sensors, a method resulting from an R & D cooperation with Jenoptik Optical Systems, Siegert TFT and LCP.

By using the new soldering technology the housing with infrared filters or windows for
infrared radiation sources and detectors becomes impenetrable for gases. The components
show no permeation over bonded elements with respect to water vapour and (environmental)
gases.
The hermetic capsule opens up new use spectra in harsh environmental conditions,
such as high temperature, high gas partial pressure and high humidity. The newly developed
long-term stable infrared components for gas sensors, gas monitoring, gas analysis and for
flame detection are now available.
These filters and window elements are customisable in geometry and optical
coating. This development has special relevance for hermetically sealed emitters, where the
filter is soldered directly onto the round reflector. With the use of caps with large hole
diameter the field of view of all detectors can be extended. The hermetic
sealability allows the use of special inert gases inside these components, whose parameters
are customer specifically integrable. Stand G5
