Garlock Sealing Technologies has
introduced a new gasketing material
for high-temperature sealing
applications. Capable of withstanding
temperatures to 1000°C, THERMa-
PUR is already being successfully
used to seal connectors in bio-mass
gasification, marine and land based
exhaust systems and mineral and
fertiliser processing.

Comprising a combination of raw
materials and using a patent-pending
fibre core, THERMa-PUR is said to
be easier to handle than conventional
high temperature gasketing which
uses steel cores. The product is
available in a range of configurations
including sheet, Kammprofile and
corrugated metal gaskets.

The material’s hydrophobic
properties make it safe to hydro test
the system to full pressure and
temperature.
