Asimple conversion of existing
250W lamps to Venture’s
200W Uniform Pulse Start
lamps and control gear has resulted
in door and window handle manufacturer,
Hoppe (UK) achieving
savings of around £5000 per year.

With the 250W high pressure
sodium (SON) lamps in need of an
upgrade, electrical wholesaler
Lockwells was asked to provide
Hoppe with a solution that would
improve the light output while saving
money on operating costs. Venture’s
200W conversion kits met all of the
criteria and became the preferred
choice for the project. The kit, which
includes the lamp, ignitor, ballast and
capacitor, provided a quick and easy
conversion without any downtime or
disruption to Hoppe’s busy
manufacturing area.

Venture’s Pulse Start Lamps are
reported to provide good colour
uniformity, a clear white light, and
excellent visibility. By changing to
the lower wattage Pulse Start lamp,
Hoppe’s running costs were
significantly reduced with no
compromise in illumination levels.
