As part of a new order for
Niftylifts, Tom Robinson,
director of Lindum Plant and
Shane Martin, plant manager,
have taken delivery of their
first Height Rider 17 (HR17)
and Height Rider 21 (HR21)
Hybrid platforms.

Robinson explains: “We
strive for the Lindum fleet of
machines to be among the
youngest in the industry; this
helps keep customers happy
by limiting breakdowns and
keeps our machines at the
cutting edge of technology.

These Nifty HR17s and
HR21s have SiOPS operator
protection system and
Hybrid power source. I am
convinced I will be able to
achieve a better return for
our investment by offering
equipment with a lower
carbon footprint.
“At just 4750kg for the
HR17 and under 6500kg for
the HR21, these machines are
substantially lighter than
some manufacturer’s 45, 50
and 70 foot booms.”
The Niftylift Hybrid system
uses a Tier 4 / EU Stage IIIB
compliant 15kW engine
coupled with a powerful
electric motor. It is said to
deliver a 5% increase in
power-to-weight ratio and a
40 to 50% fuel saving.
