TDK-Lambda UK has
announced that Robert ‘Bob’
Taylor, safety engineering
manager, has been awarded
the prestigious International
Electrotechnical Commission
(IEC) 1906 Award. Created to
commemorate the founding
of the IEC in 1906, the Award
honours those who have
made an exceptional
contribution to development
of an IEC standard.

Taylor has been recognised
by the chairman and
secretary of IEC Technical
Committee 22 (TC 22) as an
‘Expert of IEC Subcommittee
No. 22E, Power Electronic
Systems and Equipment
Stabilised Power Supplies’.

The certificate states that
Taylor was honoured for his
valuable contribution and
consistent dedication as an
expert and convenor in latest
MT 5 for IEC 61204-3,
before WG 2 on IEC 61204-
7. Over the years, he has been
a driving force in his projects
contributing to the standards
due to his expertise and
participation in writing and
editing them.
