Impact, chemical and abrasion resistant
For error-proofing and part-present applications inductive sensors are often, by necessity, placed directly in harms way. Impact, abrasion and particulate erosion can destroy some conventional sensors and replacing them can be time consuming.

The rugged construction of Balluff
SteelFace sensors reduces replacement
costs and downtime. The sensors are
built to survive longer in the most
arduous of applications.
Machining a single piece of solid
stainless steel results in a sensor
with a 1mm thick robust steel
face that is impact-,
chemical-, cutting fluidand
abrasion-resistant.
Available in M8, M12, M18 and M30
sizes (shielded and unshielded),
the sensors achieve the same
sensing range as Balluff’s
standard proximity sensors.
