The TC7000 intrinsically safe
radiometric thermal imaging camera
from CorDEX Instruments can be
used to conduct infrared inspections
in Zone 1, explosive environments as
well as all other areas. There’s no
need for hot work permits. Inclusion
of RFID technology means all
findings can be tagged to a location
and easily documented.

The TC7000 is ATEX and IECEx
certified for Zone 1 IIC T4. Very low
voltage and current are implicit in its
high safety rating but CorDEX
Instruments says it has achieved this
without compromising performance.

Features iclude a colour 3.2in
backlit LCD, intuitive joystick
navigation and an ATM-style keypad
for easy access to shortcuts. The high
resolution, 320 x 240 uncooled
detector ensures the smallest thermal
problems are visible within the
measurement range -20 to 600°C.

An articulating lens allows the
lens unit to be adjusted to reduce
glare when the camera is used outside.

It also affords protection in transit.

The camera case is shock and
drop tested to IEC EN60079-11 and
a neck/wrist strap is supplied. Three
standard AA batteries allow up to 8h
continuous operation.

Inclusion of a 13.5MHz RFID tag
scanner allows images with embedded
measurements and voice annotations
to be auto-linked to a location.
