HBM has launched a high precision
version of its HLCB2 load cells for
the construction of scales with a C6
accuracy class conforming to OIML
regulations. The load cells are
available with maximum capacities
ranging from 220kg to 4.4t and are
characterised by hermetic
encapsulation in addition to their
very high precision. They are
available with either IP68 or IP69K
degree of protection facilitating their
use in applications operating in dusty
or damp ambient conditions.

The design has been optimised so
that any force applied is
implemented consistently, avoiding
measurement errors. Different
loading feet can also be fitted to
ensure optimal placement in an
application. Typical applications for
the HLCB2 load cells are in the food
or pharmaceutical sectors, e.g. in silo
or container scales. These areas
require very high accuracy and the
ability to withstand daily cleaning
with high-pressure steam cleaners.
