If you have employees working with
acids and alkalis found in substances
such as cleaning chemicals and
batteries for electric fork trucks, their
eyes and skin could be at risk.

According to Kingfisher, a normal
saline eyewash can take more than
three hours to have any effect on
acids or alkalis.

eyeVolution from Kingfisher is a
rapid and effective neutralising agent
for acids and alkalis in the eye or on
the skin. A 1L bottle is said to have
the same effect as 50L of normal tap
water. Immediate application could
prevent further damage to the eyes;
acids and alkalis can penetrate the
cornea in just 45 seconds.

In addition to the 1L bottle for
use with the shower station,
eyeVolution is also available in a
200mL bottle, which comes
complete with an ergonomic eyecap,
dust cap and clear instructions.

The 200mL bottle gives a rinse
time of up to two minutes, giving the
user time to treat the eyes and skin.

The company says many other
eyewash bottles only rinse for 20s.
