Figures from Tracker, stolen vehicle
recovery specialist, reveal that it has
recovered more than £15m worth of
plant machinery and equipment over
the last five years.

“Our figures show that 68% of all
plant we recover is recovered within
24h of the stolen vehicle recovery
(SVR) device being activated
and 10% of those are
recovered within just 1h,” reports
Stuart Chapman, a police liaison
officer from Tracker.

The SVR system is Thatcham
approved, offering added quality
assurance and, says the company, the
possibility of an insurance discount.

A transmitter is hidden around
the plant. There is no visible aerial,
so the thief won’t know it’s there and
it works no matter where the plant is
hidden, even if taken abroad, offering
owners peace of mind should the
worst happen.
