Laser makes the cut at printed electronics device manufacturer
The capacitive touch sensors produced by printed electronics device manufacturer, M-Solv, require the cover lens to be laminated with a layer of transparent polymer. A Trotec Speedy 360 laser cutter is used for precision laser cutting of the polymers.

David Brunt, manager of M-Solv’s Printed Electronics Device Fab says: "Laminating the cover lenses to the sensors for critical display applications requires high precision as the polymer sheets have to be handled carefully and cut with intricate contours and are often very large.
"The Speedy 360 hasn't disappointed, it increases yield and saves us time compared to our previous manual method, allowing us to produce higher volumes."
The Speedy 360 is a flatbed laser with a bed size of 813 x 508mm, high-speed processing up to 3.55m/sec and a superior product build for dust protection; making it a versatile option for integration in to production lines where cutting, engraving and marking of materials, parts or components is required.
Visitors to MACH 2018 will be able to see the Speedy 300 flexx in action alongside the SpeedMarker 300 MOPA and ProMarker 300 marking lasers. Stand H17-220
