A new Dynamic Bill-of-Materials
(DBOM) module has been
developed for the PSL DataTrack
production management and
business administration software
system. It allows DataTrack users to
quickly quote and deliver uniquely
configured engineering assemblies
for customers with constantly
changing requirements or who
require one-off batches. It reduces
administration and time as only a
single order entry is needed to
process the most complex
assemblies.

Users who build complex
assemblies control stocks of
components and materials; the
DBOM module automatically
allocates available items and tracks
any shortages. The parts ‘to follow’
are monitored and the order
automatically despatched when they
become available.
