Units are
lightweight, compact and easily
portable. Planar technology is used
for all transformers within the
machine. The company says planar
transformers are smaller, flatter and
lighter than traditional wire-wound
transformers and that their
construction makes them electronically
efficient and reliable. They maintain
reliability at high temperatures which
enables the high duty cycles the
Fusion machines achieve.

Interconnects within
the machines are kept
to a minimum and
electronics are in an
injection moulded,
toughened nylon
case to form a robust
package with IP23
rating. A wind
tunnel through the
machine stops dust
and debris settling on the electronics.
