SKC has validated the sampling rate of the passive samplers along with other critical sampling parameters to provide documented proof of reliability that meet the requirements of many HSE, NIOSH and OSHA methods.

Used for personal and area sampling, individual chemicals diffuse from the atmosphere into the sampler at a fixed rate, eliminating the need for a sample pump, and offering the convenience of unobtrusive personal monitoring. These sampler are easy to use, can indicate average exposure levels over short or long periods, and can even be used in hazardous environments.

New for 2014 is the UMEx 300 for Ammonia. With its 39.92 ml/min sampling rate, the sensitive UMEx 300 detects ammonia to 2.4 ppm for a 15-minute sample, 0.075 ppm for an eight-hour sample, and 0.025 ppm for a 24-hour sample.
