The lab’s new operational name will be Degrémont Water Sciences Laboratory, encompassing the broad range of services it offers to customers, from analysis through to complex investigations.

The laboratory in Grangemouth provides a range of UKAS accredited water, wastewater and waste analysis and specialised investigations. It can develop customer focused flow and load surveys that can benchmark current performance against original design and using analytical data to identify process changes that may impact quality and compliance. Having identified issues that affect the plant, Degrémont can then specify cost-effective solutions for water and wastewater treatment. The laboratory includes a pilot testing facility, a microscopy unit, an anaerobic digestion plant, and is undertaking research into current and future water and wastewater issues.
