New from Manitou, the MI
range of industrial counterbalanced
forklift trucks is
said to reinforce the company’s
position as a full line material
handling equipment supplier and
form an important constituent of its
Industrial Materials Handling division.

Targeting the volume sector of the
diesel and LPG powered industrial
forklift truck market, the smaller
capacity MI range is being
distributed in Europe from Manitou’s
Beaupreau facility in France.

Maximum load capacities are
1500, 1800, 2000, 2500, 3000 and
3500kg and buyers can select Yanmar
diesel or Nissan LPG engines.
There is a choice of duplex or
triplex masts to provide maximum
lift heights from 3.3 to 6.5m. Some
masts are available with a free lift
facility and a hydraulically powered
sideshift is available as an option. For
the operator, visibility is good with a
clear view mast with tilt cylinders
positioned out of sight under the
floor. There is a simple but effective
LED display on the dashboard and
intuitive, smooth controls.

The ability to offer packages of
forklifts, stackers and pallet trucks as
well as small powered access platforms
will enable Manitou dealers to satisfy
the needs of many customers. Finance
and contract hire options are offered.
