Electro discharge machine tool and
technology provider ONA exhibited
new machines at this year’s EMO
exhibition, including the new AF
Modular wire EDM machine with a
cutting capacity to 800mm in height.

Ian Holbeche, MD of the
company’s UK agent, Warwick
Machine Tools, says: “This new
development offers a technological
solution for efficient application of
the wire EDM cutting process in very
thick applications. It combines a
high performance stable cut in
totally submerged mode along the
800mm of the Z-axis travel, with the
option of automatic threading with
any thread type up to the maximum
height.”
