Alightweight, single-phase
230V plasma cutter – 21KF –
with in-built 60/70dB air
compressor and de-humidifier, has
been introduced by GYS. It is
suitable for use in workshops and
on-site in engineering, agricultural,
construction and quarrying
applications, where no compressed
air supply may be available.

Using inverter technology, it is
designed to cut at up to 20A using a
13A fuse plug, producing low
intensity quality cuts on 6mm thick
steel, stainless steel and cast iron
sheets as well as on 4mm aluminium
and copper sheets including painted
surfaces, without any distortion.

The GYS Pilot Arc system enables
the arc to start without any contact
with the sheet being cut. Starting
without any HF avoids any
electromagnetic interference.

Other features include a 4m air
cooled torch with a safety trigger to
avoid accidental starting of the unit,
re-inforced protection for use with a
generator, over voltage tested to
400V and there is IP23 protection
against rain and dust impregnation.

Options include a Compass kit for
circular cutting up to 134cm
diameter and a wheeled trolley.
