Available in standard and low
temperature versions, PULS UK has
launched two new MiniLine 60W
units. As with other PULS power
supplies, the ML60s have been teste
at temperatures of up to 60°C but
what makes the new low-temperature
model stand out is its ability to start
and deliver full power from -40°C,
giving an overall operating range of
100°C.

PULS has developed special
circuitry which limits inrush current
and obviates the need to use satiable
resistors. It says that this means units
can operate in extreme conditions
without danger. Similar technology
has been incorporated in PULS power
supplies at the Neumaver Station III
research base in Antarctica to power
outdoor monitoring equipment,
including sunshine detectors and
wind measurement devices.
