With the HSE estimating around 4000
asbestos related cancer deaths in the
UK each year, Scott Health & Safety
has signalled a technological advance
for mask mounted powered respirators
with the launch of Phantom Vision.

The new product will provide greater
comfort and ease of operation for users
in any application requiring powered
or non-powered full facemask protection,
claims the company.

Combining a new lithium-ion
battery, long-life brushless motor and
electronics technology with the
already popular Vision full facemask,
the new Phantom Vision is a power
assisted respirator which can be used
in a wide variety of demanding workplace
environments including asbestos
removal and nuclear decommissioning.
