Pregis Protective Packaging Europe
has developed an innovative solution
for the transportation of parts used in
the production of the Skoda Octavia
Combi model, which has improved
protection and doubled the number
of parts carried.

Previously parts were delivered in a
standard plastic box. The Pregis
solution was to slightly raise the height
of the box while retaining its existing
footprint. The new box, a standard
collapsible PP/PE box from Schoeller
Arca Systems provides 30% more
volume, giving scope for more efficient
positioning of parts within the box.

Cross positioning of the parts on
two different levels has increased the
number of parts in each box from 11
to 21. The extra space has allowed
room for more efficient positioning of
parts.
