Panasonic has added 14 new types
to its range of area and safety sensors
with ultra narrow design for finger
protection.Mounted at the required
distance to the danger zone, eg
18mm (with 42ms for machine
stop), SF4C-F series safety light
curtains can be mounted directly on
machines or machine systems.

Together with the SF4C-H series
for hand protection, customers have
28 types at their disposal. They cover
a protective height of 160 to 640mm
and a protective width of 0.1 to 3m.

The series functions according to the
grid principle. Features include short
response time – 9ms max. for finger
types and 7ms max. for hand types –
and a narrow design whose cross
section measures just 13 x 30mm. An
integrated muting function makes an
external muting unit unnecessary.
