Solids pumping and mixing specialist,
P&M Pumps, has introduced a new
Health Check Package aimed at
extending operating life and
optimising pump performance. The
company is offering pre-scheduled
site visits, incorporating the health
check package for existing Vaughan
chopper pump users in the UK.

According to P&M, in some
situations pumps are operating 24/7
for extended periods without any
checking or maintenance. The above
pictures illustrate a ‘before and after’
example. The left picture shows a
pump which was extracted and
checked having being operated for
approximately 5 years with operators
commenting that its performance
was ‘becoming unacceptable’. The
right picture shows a similar pump,
having been correctly maintained
over the same period.
