Senior Flexonics has ordered a
bespoke aqueous component
cleaning machine from
MecWash Systems, for use in
an automated production line
commissioned by a client
on the continent.

It is used to clean and dry
heat exchangers. Having
worked with MecWash on
previous projects, Senior
Flexonics commissioned the
company to deliver a bespoke
MecWashMidi 400.

The compact system
removes preservative oils,
machining lubricants, metal
swarf and chips from
components in a fully
enclosed machine, so no
steam and no vapours.

The standard specification
includes rotational high
volume spray washing,
immersion washing and hot
air drying. Senior Flexonics’
bespoke system also has
direct jetting via a rear feed
system, to flush through the
heat exchangers. Vacuum
drying ensures internal water
and gas galleries are very
quickly 100% clean and dry.

Eight heat exchangers are
cleaned and dried in 6.26
minutes.
