supplier is making money
from waste after joining
forces with Greenbank waste
handling and equipment
company. Deli Solutions in
Clitheroe now has a new
revenue stream that has
generated £57,000 in 10
months after an overhaul of
its recycling practices.
The company has installed
a customised machine that
lifts bins and crushes 5kg tins
that its produce arrives in.

Greenbank arranges monthly
collection and disposal of the
steel, for which Deli Solutions
is paid.

The recycling and waste
management system has
enabled Deli Solutions to
process 170t of tin and 15t of
card in 2011, saving £30,000
on landfill and collection
costs
