Micro-Epsilon’s new range of colour
recognition sensors are said to
provide up to 20 times higher
resolution than conventional colour
recognition sensors and to offer
stable, reliable colour measurements,
even on shiny or reflective surfaces.

They can recognise small variations
in colour along a target object or
material, for example, in the
production of leather goods, wood
veneers and vehicle interiors.

The range includes colorSENSOR
LT sensors. The sensor is connected
to an optical fibre that is guided to
the measurement target. Colour
detection occurs close to the object,
reducing any environmental effects
that could adversely affect reliability.

More than 2000 different types of
fibre optic cable are available to
choose from, as well as many lenses.

The LT family extends from low-cost
sensors to multi-channel colour
recognition systems.
