To minimise the risk of feedstock
contamination in the plastics
industry, S+S Inspection has
combined its Safemag and Protector
contamination detection and
removal systems to provide
maximum protection and minimum
material loss.

The Safemag first stage uses high
force neodymium permanent
magnets to remove ferrous and
slightly magnetic stainless steel from
the feedstock. The Protector then
removes non-magnetic
contamination to ensure that the
material fed into the production
process is as free of potentially
damaging materials as is possible.

In addition to improving feedstock
quality, the new system significantly
reduces the amount of material
removed with the contamination.

The new combination is available to
fit standard 30, 40, 50 and 70 mm
feed pipes.
