Reliable connections
The new C6A RJ45 field plug pro from METZ CONNECT is suitable for structured cabling in buildings, data centers or in industry. It provides reliable connections and is simple to install on site without requiring special tools.

The compact field plugs are offered in a straight 180° and a variable 360° variant, are suitable for multiport applications, and can therefore be used in confined spaces.
To provide a reliable flow of data, both versions are shielded against external EMC interference by a die-cast zinc housing. The new C6A RJ45 field plug pro offers the transmission technology fgeatures of Cat.6A in accordance with ISO/IEC 11801 Ed.2.2:2011-06 (Class EA) and is suitable for transmission up to 10 GBit. Power over Ethernet is possible with the variants PoE, PoE plus and UPoE.
The straight plug for field assembly consists of two components, the variable 360° variant of four components. Both plug variants can be reconnected. Hence, the plug can, for example, be dismantled and reused in case of cable damage or connection errors.
Stranded conductors can be connected from AWG 27/7 to 22/7 and full cores from AWG 26/1 to AWG 22/1. The variable 360° variant can be used flexibly due to its multiple cable outputs; 32 cable outputs are possible overall.
The flexible plugs for field use are used for terminals with no spatial flexibility and which are not connected with time limitations. For example, this includes direct connection of wall-mounted devices (routers, in-house IP cameras, etc). Ethernet interfaces are also required in industrial automation and manufacturing as a result of seamless communication from the offices to individual machines. For reasons of space it is not always possible to provide every participant in the communication chain with an own connection box. Direct connection of the installation cable via a plug for field assembly is therefore a viable alternative.
