Safeguarding users and the planet

To produce the Polyflex Aqua reusable glove, Polyco used water-based polyurethane (PU), eliminating solvents from the manufacturing process.

Polyco says that the palm of the Polyflex Aqua is coated with a lightweight, spongy, water-based PU, which is kinder to the skin and less likely to penetrate through the seamless, knitted liner beneath. The fact that the coating sits on the liner, rather than being integrated in it, means perspiration is absorbed and comfort is boosted.

The glove has been tested in accordance with European Standard EN 1186, making it suitable for food contact. As well as its ‘green’ credentials the water-based PU coating offers enhanced flexibility, dexterity and grip, and it is highly resistant to tears and abrasion, making the Polyflex Aqua a durable and long-lasting solution for myriad industries and applications.

Equally durable and resilient are the Polyflex MAX PC and Polyflex MAX KC. The gloves offer excellent grip in any environment – dry, damp and oily – thanks to a lightweight nitrile coating on the palm (PC) and knuckles (KC). The coating has been infused with air bubbles to provide a cushioning effect that enhances grip. It is also highly resistant to tears and abrasion, and the breathable nylon and elastane liner ensures a high degree of comfort for the wearer. The Polyflex MAX PC and Polyflex MAX KC have been tested to EN 1186 and so are suitable for food contact, as well as applications such as general assembly, light engineering and construction.

Polyco's Grip It Oil Therm C5 has two layers of nitrile coating. The first layer is a full coating and is liquid-resistant. The second layer coats the palm of the glove and incorporates microfoam bubbles, which increase resistance to oil and enhance grip in wet and greasy conditions. The liner is made from a combination of HPPE (high performance polyethylene) and glass fibre and attains maximum scores in all EN 388 categories. It is fleecy and so is warm and comfortable to wear.
