Lead and silver smelting company
Britannia has named the CygScope
from Cygnus Instruments its best
equipment purchase of 2010,
claiming that it has made jobs both
easier and safer.

The efficiency of the vacuum in
the silver production process is
paramount to producing a high
product yield and leaks can waste 20
to 30% of a compressor’s output.

The CygScope uses detection of
ultrasound to allow the user to
quickly and accurately pinpoint leaks
in industrial plant and machinery.

The device’s parabolic probe
means checks can be carried out
from a distance in areas previously
inaccessible due to heat or height.

Roy Blowers, maintenance
supervisor, says that in addition to
making his job easier, the CygsScope,
has already paid for itself.
