SMART head joining solutions are already delivering benefits to a number of manufacturing companies by virtue of their closed loop accuracy, repeatability and ease of integration into factory data collection systems.

The new servo welding heads integrate directly with the SMART power supply range to deliver fully programmable process controlled micro welding solutions across a broad spectrum of product assembly demands.

The company has also introduced a new percussive arc welding head and power supply. This is a process controlled solution for joining micro components end to end.  Typical applications include wire to can and wire to pin joining without solder.

Applications for these micro welding technologies include aerospace, automotive, medical, battery and lighting sectors manufacturing volume precision components such as sensors, micro-electronic assemblies, solar cells and LED arrays.
