Rügenwalder Mühle, one of
the largest meat producers in
Germany, uses barcoded
ceramic labels from inotec on
its smoking dolleys, helping
to ensure batch traceability.

Each dolly is weighed with
its load both before and after
the smoking process, which
takes several days. Using the
barcoded ceramic labels, this
data is automatically and
accurately collected,
providing total batch
traceability and control.

The barcode labels
supplied by inotec not only
endure the smoking process
with temperatures up to
350°C, but also resist
aggressive chemical and high
pressure cleaning, which is
carried out to ensure the
dolly is completely clean
before the next batch of meat
is smoked.
