Jaffabox has kept faith in
long-term supplier Mosca by
becoming the first UK
company to buy its new
SoniXs strapping technology.

Jaffabox operates a
100,000ft2 factory adjacent to
Birmingham International
Airport. Producing millions
of boxes every year, it
requires fast, efficient end-ofline
strapping.

Instead of the traditional
friction seal, SoniXs uses a
sonic wave to give a fast,
strong seal. The ultrasonic
technology offers a consistent
seal up to 85% of the tensile
strength of the strap and
sealing times are said to be
significantly shortened. The
SoniXs sealing head can be
changed in less than 30s.

Jaffabox has regularly
purchased Mosca machinery,
including an MCB corrugated
bundler and UATRI
automatic strapper. “I
believe Mosca’s equipment
and support have been
extremely good, which is why
we have continued to place
orders with them over the
years,” says John Amyes,
director of Jaffabox.
