Specialist racking company Wickens
has completed a major project for
East Lothian Council, enabling it to
maximise use of available space at its
roads depot in Macmerry and handle
the storage of street lighting in an
efficient and safe way.

Wickens was approached to design,
build and install a racking system to
store lighting posts between 4 and
12m long at a site which featured a
slope down its 40m long boundary.

To tackle this issue, Wickens
surveyed the site and then
recommended the construction of
separate racks for each individual post
length. This made it easier for the site
supervisor to segregate different sized
posts and made stock control easier.
