Specialist coating faciltiy
Altec Engineering has set up a new Specialist Coatings facility in Sedgefield, County Durham to support the continued growth of CNC precision machining operations at the main Bowburn site, and meet increasing demand for finished components.
The company has invested in a wide range of equipment and processes including Vibratory Trough Finishing and Shot Blasting to perform preliminary operations and generate the key face to which the surface coatings will bond.
Surface coatings offered by Altec at the new Sedgefield site include Alocrom 1200, used for general industrial work, electrical components and domestic appliances.
