Based on Version 3 of its

calculation software,
steam specialist TLV
Euro Engineering has
developed TLV ToolBox,
an iPhone App that is
available as a free
download from the
Apple App Store and a
version for Google’s
Android mobile
operating system will be
available in the coming months.

The iPhone-optimised App has
been developed for Apple’s iOS 5
mobile operating system and offers
field engineers some of the power of
TLV’s Windows-based SE-1 software
on a handheld smart phone.

Features include standard unit
conversions; steam
tables; steam pipe
sizing (by velocity, flow
rate and pressure loss);
velocity and flow rates
through a pipe;
condensate pipe sizing;
direct/indirect heat
loads; continual/batch
heat loads; a KV
calculator, and flow
rates through orifice or
valve.

The TLV ToolBox App is available
in English, French, German, and
Japanese initially. It is compatible
with major pipe schedules (DIN,
ANSI, JIS) and all major imperial
and metric units.
