Returnable transit packaging (RTP)
specialist, PHS Teacrate part of the
PHS Group, has made a substantial
investment in tooling from Rehrig
Pacific UK to exclusively manufacture
its trays for the UK and European
markets.

The move will provide greater
choice of RTP for those involved in
the food and non-food retailing
sectors and significantly expands PHS
Teacrate’s extensive product portfolio.

For the first time RTP users will be
able to get Teacrate and Rehrig crates
from one single source.

PHS Teacrate’s commercial
director, Gordon Philip, believes the
company’s purchase of the tooling
from Rehrig bolsters security of
supply, as it plans to make the crates
available to competitors to ensure no
breakdowns in the logistics chain.
