With the introduction of its new Flir
T600 Series, Flir Systems believes it
has set a new benchmark for the
commercial application of high
calibre thermal imaging.

The T620 and 640 models are said
to be highly ergonomic and easy to
use, even when wearing PPE. Both
have an uncooled microbolometer
detector that produces crisp 640 x
480 pixel thermal images on which
the smallest of details can be seen.

Temperature differences of 0.04°C
can be seen on the T640 and it can
measure temperatures to 2000°C.

Accuracy is to within 2% or ±2°.
Application flexibility is enhanced
by a choice of lenses beyond the
standard 25°.

Both models have a 5 megapixel
digital camera that generates sharp
reference images. An LED lamp is
provided for dark environments and
a rotating optical block is said to
make it easy to capture images from
challenging angles.
