Thermal transfer coder
Australian contract packer for the dry food industry, Annex, is reporting that an Allen Coding 53XL80 thermal transfer coder has helped increase production efficiencies on one of its high output lines.
The advanced system, originally purchased to replace an outdated and unreliable competitor printer, is applying a variety of data, including dates and batch codes, directly on to a range of flexible packaging materials.
Installed on a vertical form fill seal (VFFS) machine using bespoke mounting brackets, the Allen Coding 53XL80, which offers a maximum print area of 53mm x 80mm, is operating at speeds up to 50 packs per minute.
