Donaldson comments that in
comparison to conventional dust
collectors,Donaldson Torit units with
PowerCore technology are up to
70% smaller.

A dust collection unit, which
previously had to be equipped with
81 bag filters (each 2.40m in length),
now needs only 12 PowerCore filter
packs. In addition PowerCore fulfils
the requirement for simple, servicefriendly
maintenance.

The company says that the time
needed for replacing a PowerCore
filter pack is just 2min and that
filtration efficiency has been
increased.

The company says that
independent lab tests confirm that
PowerCore filter packs provide 78%
fewer emissions than standard
polyester bags.

PowerCore combines the
advantages of Ultra-Web nanofibre
media with the flow optimised shape
of the filter packs. A higher dust load
is collected on the surface of the media
flute. This, combined with patented
pulse cleaning technology, leads to
efficient performance, in the smallest
of spaces, at low pressure drop and
minimised energy input.
