Traka has adapted its key
management solutions to
control and audit the use
of electronic tool
cabinets.

At the heart of the
Traka system is an iFob, a
robust device that
contains intelligent chips
and which can be attached
to existing keys with a security seal,
or be used as the key itself. The iFob
then becomes a key with a memory,
which records where and when it
was used, expiring after a predetermined
time. Crucially, it is a key
that can’t be copied. From the audit
trail produced, it’s easy to
see who has accessed
tools, either by making an
enquiry at the Traka
cabinet, or by using
Traka32 support software.

If the iFob is used as
the key, it will only
activate designated pieces
of equipment.
