PM Lucas Enterprises, a service provider to the oil & gas industry, chose Boge to manufacture a turnkey nitrogen generation system for a greenfield conventional crude oil and gas gathering system in Kazakhstan.

The nitrogen generator is used to provide an inert gas (nitrogen) blanket to 5 – 100m3 (by volume) crude oil storage vessels. These are repeatedly filled and then emptied and nitrogen is correspondingly released or pumped into the vessels to fill the vapour space. Crude oil is then pumped to a custody transfer measuring station.

A thermally insulated 12 by 2.5 by 2.5m steel container with heating and ventilation houses three Boge S29-2 screw compressors with air receiver, nitrogen receiver, desiccant dryer and a nitrogen generator. The generator produces nitrogen gas from the compressed air produced by the compressors on-demand.
