Under surveillance
A PureActiv wide area video surveillance system from PureTech Systems has been installed to monitor remote water utility locations for the City of Palo Alto.
The system uses IP cameras and is integrated with several types of volumetric sensors. In addition to intrusion detection using video analytics, ‘slow-to-cue’ functionality is used, whereby the system automatically steers a PTZ camera to an exact latitude, longitude and elevationpoint to further assess a situation.
