ESAB Cutting Systems is offering
plasma cutting retrofit upgrade
packages to users of ESAB cutting
machines. It’s a means of maximising
their potential without investing in a
new machine. Benefits claimed range
from improved quality of cut and
reduced operational costs to
increased cutting speeds, increased
cutting thicknesses and improved
consumable lifetimes.

Users can select from a range of
plasma systems, torches, controllers
and software packages to create an
upgraded system. These include the
m3 plasma system with a choice of
systems for piercing up to 50mm,
mild steel. These can be combined
with the latest PT 36 Plasma Torch
for cutting and marking as well as
the Vision 51R CNC control system.

Columbus III, the latest
programming software, is said to
make it easier to program cutting
requirements as well as labelling and
marking processes. In conjunction
with the m3 plasma system, it will
provide high cut quality with
precision hole technology.
